GUIDE TO BOULDERING AREAS IN TUSCANY

In the southwest area of Tuscany there are a few sandstone bouldering sites and out on the islands of Giglio and Elba, you will find sever granite blocs. Even though the areas and not destination type of locations, for those wanting to travel around and enjoy the great food, wine, history, and culture of Tuscany breaking up your days with a few hours of climbing is not bad.  

Most of the Bouldering Areas in Tuscany require two or more crash pads and a good spot.  Many of the problems are on steep hills or along the shore line.  Wire brushes and other abrasive cleaning items are forbidden and it is encouraged to be extra attentive to the surrounding area since most sites are on private property.
